Snoweco Technician Privacy Policy

1. Introduction & Purpose
This Privacy Policy explains how Snoweco collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information from its snow removal technicians (“techs”). The purpose of collecting this information is to manage job assignments, track performance, ensure safety, and maintain service quality for our customers.
We value your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information in compliance with applicable privacy laws. This policy applies to all Snoweco employees and contractors during the course of their work for the company.
2. Information We Collect
During your work with Snoweco, we collect the following information:
Name – used to assign jobs, track points, and record performance.
Job Photos – before-and-after images of completed work, used for quality assurance and customer verification.
Job Location – the address where work is performed, used for dispatch and performance tracking.
Shift Data – start and finish times for jobs, seasonal points earned, and tier progress.
We do not collect GPS tracking, device data, personal browsing activity, or any other personal information unrelated to your work.
3. How We Use the Information
Snoweco collects and processes the personal information described in Section 2 for the following purposes:
Job Assignment and Dispatch – to allocate work to technicians based on availability and location.
Performance Tracking – to record completed jobs, calculate seasonal points, determine tier status, and recognize performance achievements.
Quality Assurance – to verify the completion and quality of services through before-and-after photographs.
Service Verification – to confirm work has been completed at the designated address for internal records and potential customer inquiries.
Operational Management – to monitor shift data, improve operational efficiency, and maintain accurate internal records.
The information collected shall not be used for purposes other than those stated herein unless required by law or with the explicit consent of the individual concerned.
4. How We Share Information
Snoweco does not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose the personal information of its technicians to any third parties.
Access to personal information is strictly limited to Snoweco management, dispatch staff, and authorized administrative personnel who require such access for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.
All information is used solely for internal operational purposes. Disclosure to any party outside of Snoweco will occur only if required by applicable law, regulation, or court order.
5. Data Storage & Security
Snoweco stores technician information using a combination of secure cloud-based services and local storage systems.
Cloud Storage – Data is stored in secure, encrypted cloud platforms with restricted access credentials issued only to authorized personnel.
Local Storage – Certain operational data may be temporarily stored on company devices for job management purposes. All such devices are password-protected and equipped with security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
Snoweco implements reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
While Snoweco takes appropriate steps to protect all data, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Technicians are expected to follow company policies regarding the handling of devices and data.
6. Retention Period
Snoweco retains technician personal information and job-related data for a period of three (3) years from the date of collection. This retention period is necessary for operational recordkeeping, performance tracking, and compliance with applicable business requirements.
After the retention period expires, all personal information will be securely deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with an identifiable individual.
In certain cases, Snoweco may retain specific records for a longer period if required to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
7. Ownership of Information
All data, photographs, shift records, addresses, and related information collected during the course of work for Snoweco are the sole and exclusive property of Snoweco.
Technicians acknowledge that such information is collected as part of their work duties and is considered a work product owned entirely by Snoweco.
Technicians have no ownership rights, access rights, or entitlement to copies of this information, except as required by law or explicitly authorized in writing by Snoweco management.
8. Changes to This Policy
Snoweco reserves the right to amend or update this Privacy Policy at any time.
Changes may be communicated to technicians verbally (including during team meetings or shift briefings) or in writing (including by email, printed notice, or other reasonable means).
Continued work for Snoweco following any such communication constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
